Case Details
52 year old woman who had a breast augmentation previously with another surgeon. The implants were placed too high and appropriate muscle release had not been done, resulting in a high riding implant. Besides, she had breast ptosis (droop) that was not addressed during the previous procedure. A neopectoral technique was used to create a new submuscular space for the implant, along with appropriate release of the pectoralis muscle. Left side: Mentor 425 cc moderate plus profile, smooth round silicone gel implant Right side: Mentor 400 cc moderate plus profile, smooth round silicone gel implant. In addition, a short scar vertical breast lift (mastopexy) was performed to elevate the nipple to a new location over the center of the breast mound. She is shown before and three months after the procedure. Of note, the scars start fading away significantly between 6 and 18 months.
